Restoring
Peru's heritage

We restore historic places with care, preserving their character, stories and connection to the communities around them.

The Purpose

For us, restoration is a way of preserving Peru's heritage while allowing it to become part of the present. We bring forgotten or historic spaces back to life, respecting what makes each place unique and giving it a new purpose through hospitality.

What does it mean to restore?

Preserve

Before anything is rebuilt, it must be understood. We study each structure, its materials, its age, the hands that shaped it, before deciding what to preserve. Restoration begins with restraint, not intervention.

Original Details

Original Details

Every casona keeps its character in the smallest things: a carved balustrade, a worn doorframe, a hand-laid stone. We repair them with the techniques they were made with and keep them in sight, because a detail replaced is a story lost.

Interiors

Inside, the casona leads. We shape each room around its original proportions, light and materials, and add comfort only where the space allows it. A stay should feel native to the building, never layered on top of it.

Living spaces

A restored casona is only complete when it is lived in. Courtyards, corridors and shared rooms are brought back to be used every day, so guests stay inside the story of the place instead of simply looking at it.

A thoughtful process

Every restoration begins with understanding. We research the history of each property, study its architecture and materials, and work with specialists and local craftspeople to determine what should be preserved, restored or reimagined.

  1. Research

We study the history, architecture and original materials of each property, working alongside specialists and local craftspeople to understand what the building once was.

  2. Discover

As research deepens, we uncover what time has hidden: original details, forgotten techniques, the architectural decisions that shaped the building's first form.

  3. Preserve

Preservation comes before intervention. What still tells the building's story is protected first, so nothing essential is lost in what follows.

  4. Restore

Restoration is done by hand, with local craftspeople and traditional methods, so repaired elements sit naturally alongside what has survived

  5. Reimagine

Finally, we shape the property for how it will be used today, adding what a modern stay requires without disrupting what makes it distinctive.
